Homemade Panna Cotta
Every since i was a kid, i love eating this italian dessert. Thanks to my aunt, who's been living in Italy for almost 20 years, she'd always bring this "cooked cream" but always in a box. I forgot what's the brand haha.
Anyway, these past few days, I've been craving for this yummy dessert and I remembered my aunt taught me how to cook this from scratch. But, I forgot where I placed the recipe so I just browsed over the net.. and here goes!!!
I got this recipe from allrecipes.com.
First, you need to prepare the ingredients ( i swear, you have these at home!)
- 1/3 cup skim milk (i used fresh milk instead:)
- 2 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 pack unflavored gelatin ( i used mr. gulaman white unflavored)
- vanilla extract
Directions
- Pour milk into a small bowl, and stir in the gelatin powder. Set aside.
- In a saucepan, stir together the heavy cream and sugar, and set over medium heat. Bring to a full boil, watching carefully, as the cream will quickly rise to the top of the pan. Pour the gelatin and milk into the cream, stirring until completely dissolved.
- Let it cool. Enjoy!
