Homemade Panna Cotta

Every since i was a kid, i love eating this italian dessert. Thanks to my aunt, who's been living in Italy for almost 20 years, she'd always bring this "cooked cream" but always in a box. I forgot what's the brand haha.

Anyway, these past few days, I've been craving for this yummy dessert and I remembered my aunt taught me how to cook this from scratch. But, I forgot where I placed the recipe so I just browsed over the net.. and here goes!!!

I got this recipe from allrecipes.com.

First, you need to prepare the ingredients ( i swear, you have these at home!)

- 1/3 cup skim milk (i used fresh milk instead:)
- 2 1/2 cups heavy cream

- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 pack unflavored gelatin ( i used mr. gulaman white unflavored)
- vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Pour milk into a small bowl, and stir in the gelatin powder. Set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, stir together the heavy cream and sugar, and set over medium heat. Bring to a full boil, watching carefully, as the cream will quickly rise to the top of the pan. Pour the gelatin and milk into the cream, stirring until completely dissolved.
  3. Let it cool. Enjoy!
  4. There! :)
